What are you doing here on such a cold day?
“I am in the Fundamentals of Design class. I’m drawing the PBK loading dock area, and I’m using a ruler and my thumb to try to get the perspective and the scale.”

What do you think is the difference between pure artistic drawing and design?
“The paperwork you do is supposed to be a visual representation of what it will then look like on the stage. The most beautiful thing about the design is that you have a drawing of a set or what the lights are going to look like, and then you actually do it on stage. You get to put it together and see what it looks like in real life. It’s a once in a lifetime thing. There won’t be the same people, the same design, and the same actors at the same place. I just think it’s insanely neat how it is one unique experience. Every show is different; every rehearsal is different.”
